The Bluesign® standard is an independent approval system for the textile industry that takes into account the entire production process and aims to minimize human health and adverse effects on the environment. Rather than testing the finished product, it analyzes each component, from raw materials to chemical components, water and energy sources, and ensures that potentially harmful substances are removed from the system before production begins.
There are 5 basic principles of the standard: Resource efficiency, consumer safety, air emissions, water emissions and occupational health & safety. As of May 2019, Veskim has become a bluesign system partner.

OEKO-TEX® ECO PASSPORT is an internationally recognized certification system that verifies the safety of chemical products used in the textile and leather industries with regard to human health and environmental protection.
This certification confirms that a chemical product complies with the strict criteria defined by OEKO-TEX® not only in its final form, but throughout all stages—from raw materials to formulation. Products covered by the ECO PASSPORT are tested for harmful substances and meet safety standards that go beyond legal requirements.
Chemical products certified with OEKO-TEX® ECO PASSPORT:
Do not contain substances that may be harmful to human health
Support environmentally responsible production processes
Contribute to a sustainable and transparent supply chain
For this reason, ECO PASSPORT serves as a strong indicator of trust for companies producing in line with sustainability goals, the Green Deal, and global brand requirements.
Based on Greenpeace's DETOKS campaign to end the release of harmful chemicals and their use in production, we have begun to undertake the ZDHC commitment to hazardous wastes, targeted by large companies in the textile industry by 2020. In this context, the use of 11 groups of chemicals are expected to be prohibited from 2020 on, to ensure the use of safe chemicals throughout the entire life span of garment and shoe products, including household textile products. It is requested to establish and implement a Chemical Management System which prohibits the purchase and/or use of all chemicals listed in the MRSL (Manufactured Restricted List).
As a chemical manufacturer and dealer, we confirm the conformity of our products to ZDHC (MRSL) complying to the current list and honoring the demands of our customers to which we have responded to accordingly. Our company profile can be viewed on the ZDHC Gateway portal.

Within the scope of the EU REACH Regulation 1907/2006 EC, which entered into force on 1 June 2007 (European Union Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals) our Company, which is established outside the EU, has appointed a consulting firm based in central Europe as the sole representative and has started working on the subject.
Our company regularly follows REACH notifications, participates in training-seminars and requests REACH registration documents from our suppliers. By sending our documents to our consultant firm, we get information about the necessary examinations and how to proceed. When all necessary documents are complete, our consultant certifies the final products through its supply chains to make sure it complies with the REACH regulations. With these certifications, we aim to continue our exports to the EU without issues.
Within the scope of our REACH Audit and Certification contract, we are trying to strengthen our position in the EU market as a producer and exporter.

Triple Responsibility is a commitment program implemented by the chemical industry on Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Protection and Technical Safety. This program, which began in Turkey in 1993, is implemented by the Chemical Manufacturers Association's coordination. The aim of the program is to improve the management of chemicals produced and used in the chemical industry.
Globalized commercial and industrial relations need to be standardized to a certain extent, in particular, in terms of quality, occupational health and safety, and environmental protection. Triple Responsibility, a voluntary commitment program, has become increasingly widespread in Veskim.
The Triple Liability program includes the following six Management Rules:
• Occupational health and Safety
• Environmental management system
• Distribution
• Communication-Community Awareness-Emergency Situations
• Process Safety
• Product Liability
We manage our BEKRA Safety Management System activities, which we carry out under the Regulation on the Prevention of Major Industrial Accidents and Mitigation of Their Effects, in an integrated manner with our management systems.
